What is a CVAS license in Pakistan?

CVAS stands for Class Value Added Services. It's PTA's family of licences and registrations for businesses that offer services over telecom networks beyond basic connectivity. PTA groups them into three categories: Data CVAS, Voice CVAS and CVAS Registration. Not every category is open to new applicants right now, so it helps to know which one fits before you start.

Before you apply: what to have in place

A strong application starts with a few basics. If any of these aren't ready yet, that's fine.
We'll help you plan each one on your first call.

A clear service.

What you plan to offer and which CVAS category it falls under.

Your key people.

Directors and an authorised representative, plus the telecom or technical experience of your key management.

A technical plan.

How your service will work, from network elements to equipment.

Funding.

For licences, enough funds, held in your own or your directors' name, to cover your project cost, initial licence fee and first annual fee.

Data security awareness.

A plan for protecting customer data in line with PTA's security regulations..
